Yuengling

This weeks beer is one of my personal favorites.  D.G Yuengling is one, if not the oldest brewing companies is the U.S.  So it is no dough they know how to craft such a fine beer.  Located in Pottsville, Pennsylvania home to some incredible brew masters Yuengling produces some 2.5 million barrels a year.  Not to shabby as the nations 4th largest brewery.

Yuengling Traditional Lager is the companies main staple. It's classic green bottles are marked "lager" for it's patrons of the North East coast.  Other varieties come in can from but if you want the real deal look no farther.

Yuengling is a dark beer rich in color and flavor.  Lite head that disappears quickly, some say it is a heavier alternative to most other lagers in it's class.  Has a very clean after taste not to gaudy, nothing there to remind the drinker and finishes crisp.  Good clean finish again not too heavily, dose not give a "full" feeling.  It goes without saying Yuengling goes great with a meal.

Yuengling and a fine steak, now that's a good night.  Yuengling folks, in my opinion, is one of the best damn beers out there.  If you don't think so leave your comments below, and share some of your personal favorites.  Till next time drink one for me.

  1. I had only tried this recently, and I find Yuengling to be a really nice beer as well. The price is also quite reasonable. My son brought some home, and now it's one of my favorites.
